Deep Tissue & Structural
Book With: Casey, Cassandra, Athena, Brea, Wendy
Deep tissue massage treatments take the therapeutic massage to a more intense and effective level, where deep-seated patterns of pain and tension are held. The association of pain with deep pressure is misleading. Instead, there is less emphasis on relaxation as the primary goal and more emphasis on altering structure and muscle restrictions. Once accustomed to this work, you will experience an increased degree of relaxation, the alleviation of pain, and longer-lasting benefits. Perfect for those with chronic pain and who live active lifestyles.

This is for our athletes and weekend warriors. Whether you are in the Big Leagues or just enjoy hikes around the Valley, sports massage can help eliminate fascial restrictions, soothe sore muscles, and increase flexibility and circulation to keep you moving. This massage creates friction and vasodilation to re-oxygenate muscles while focusing on common areas related to individual sports and activities. By correcting misalignment and adhesions in the body, we can work together to increase performance and prevent injury.

During this time, your body is going through many changes and stress. Our goal is to help you relax and target areas of discomfort, such as the neck, back, pelvis, and legs, to reduce pain and swelling. Receiving massages throughout your pregnancy helps promote your overall health and comfort level during this time. Written permission from the client's physician is appreciated for all but is required for all medium or high-risk pregnancies.

Cupping can be done in many ways. Our approach is more conservative than most practitioners and focuses mainly on releasing restrictive tissue. We use a vacuum hand pump and plastic cups of various sizes to create negative pressure between the layers of soft tissue. Think “pull” instead of “push.” This allows us to create space, increase blood flow to the area and break up bound tissue in the superficial layers of soft tissue that are otherwise unaffected by manual pressure as they move with compressive force.
Scraping & Gua Sha
Advanced therapies are focused, evidence-based treatments designed to treat a wide range of movement dysfunctions and pain. Therapists practicing these forms of bodywork have hundreds of hours of additional training and experience under some of the most influential leaders in the manual therapy field.
